Wendee's Blues Rumble

While growing up in the East Bay/San Francisco Bay Area in California, Wendee was always somehow surrounded by, and involved in, music.
Wendee's radio career started in Northern CA. After qualifying for her Third Class Operators permit at age 16, she immersed herself into the local radio station, KVHS(FM) becoming Operations Manager, as well as a DJ, Music Director, Production Engineer and part of the studio construction crew.
Over a decade later, Wendee moved to the East Coast landing two radio gigs in NYC: 1010 WINS covering the overnight production and WNEW 102.7 as Studio Engineer for the Carol Miller show and the syndicated shows. She also worked in advertising for 2 of the top 10 worldwide agencies, Grey Worldwide and BBDO.
Since January 2009, Wendee has been working at WFDU as the Office Manager handling the fund drive operations, website management and administrative duties. And, in November 2011, Wendee became the host of the Monday edition of Across the Trax.
Something that has always been a source of happiness for Wendee is the sharing of music - music that she feels are “hidden treasures.” Not your typical, known tunes, but, pieces that will excite your ears and your heart. And, like her tattoo’d skin, her musical taste is quite colorful. Which is what you will find when you listen to Wendee’s Blues Rumble. “The Blues Rumble is like a box of chocolates… You never know what you’ll get.”
Oh! And when she’s not at the station, Wendee likes to spend her time running in canine agility trails with her teammates Jak and Mojo, playing bass, gardening, learning computer technology, and Dog Psychology..
