Mike has been a part of the WFDU family for the past two years. He started as a producer of Nikki Armstrong’s “Blues in the Grooves” show, became Music Director of “Music America programming, and now hosts a country show called “Big Apple Country.” 
 
Fortunately, Mike’s musical tastes are very diverse. Music America programming includes blues, country, bluegrass, folk, Americana, and even a little jazz. As a show host, he’s eager to bring country music to the NYC area.
 
Mike is a former Operations Manager, Engineer, Safety Director, and Adjunct Professor. He enjoys writing, camping, sports, and music (naturally). In addition to his activities at WFDU, Michael hosts a Music Community on the Web at: www.MakinMusicNY.com and works as a consultant.
 
Mike is a well known supporter of live music in the NYC area and can often be found at gigs throughout the Greater Metropolitan area.
