How the American public forms a worldview through the consumption of the mainstream media
To help celebrate WFDU's 40th anniversary of being on the air, we hosted a media symposium for our listeners. The event consisted of several highly accomplished and well known media personalities who conducted a very interesting discussion of how the American public forms a worldview through the consumption of the mainstream media.
The turnout was quite successful, and to share this event further, we have posted the video of the symosium for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
Dave Marash, a well known journalist with more than 50 years in the broadcast news business and former Al Jazzera Washington anchor, is the featured speaker. Other Panel members include Michael Aron of New Jersey Television and Dr. Dan Cassino of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He reports the results of a specially commissioned poll by the University's polling unit (The Public Mind) on the usage of mainstream media. The program is moderated by Judy DeAngelis, morning anchor of all news 1010 WINS in New York.
